How we collect, use, and protect your information — including our text-messaging program.

Effective date: September 6, 2026  ·  Last updated: September 6, 2026

Tax Debt Settlement USA ("Settlement USA," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit taxdebtsettlementusa.com (the "Site"), request a free case review, or communicate with us by phone, email, or text message, and how we use and protect that information.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide to us

  • Contact details — your name, phone number, email address, and state of residence.
  • Case-review details — the approximate amount of tax debt you owe, whether the debt is with the IRS and/or a state agency, whether it is personal or business debt, and the current status of your case (for example, notices received, unfiled returns, wage garnishment, liens, or levies).
  • Communications — the contents of emails, text messages, phone calls, and form submissions you send us, and any documents you choose to share during a consultation.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages viewed, links clicked, time spent on the Site, referring pages, and approximate location derived from your IP address.
  • Device data — browser type, operating system, device type, and screen size.

2. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Review your tax situation and provide the free case review you requested;
  • Contact you by phone, email, or text message about your case review, consultation scheduling, and follow-up (see Section 3 for texting details);
  • Deliver, operate, and improve our services and the Site;
  • Respond to your questions and requests;
  • Measure the effectiveness of our advertising and website;
  • Comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others.

3. SMS / text messaging program

Consent. By providing your mobile phone number and checking the consent box on our case-review form, or by texting us first, you agree to receive text messages from Tax Debt Settlement USA at that number about appointment reminders, follow-ups on your case review, customer care, and occasional promotional offers. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

Message frequency varies based on your case. Message and data rates may apply.

Opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation that you have been unsubscribed, after which you will no longer receive texts from us unless you opt back in.

Need help? Reply HELP to any message, email info@taxdebtsettlementusa.com, or call (619) 222-1123.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not share your mobile phone number or text-message opt-in consent with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You may also opt out by contacting us using the details in Section 10; please allow a reasonable time for your request to be processed.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as follows:

  • Service providers who help us operate our business — for example, our website host, form-delivery and email providers, telephone and text-messaging platform, customer relationship management (CRM) software, and scheduling tools. These providers may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Licensed tax professionals (tax attorneys, CPAs, and enrolled agents) working with us to evaluate and resolve your case.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or when we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of our business, subject to this policy.

As stated in Section 3, your mobile phone number and text-messaging consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.

5. Cookies & analytics

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, to understand how visitors use the Site, to measure the performance of our advertising, and to show you relevant ads on other platforms. You can control cookies through your browser settings and adjust ad preferences through Meta's ad settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site features.

6. Data security & retention

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted (HTTPS) connections. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep your information for as long as needed to provide our services, satisfy legal, accounting, and record-keeping requirements, and resolve disputes.

7. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, to opt out of certain communications, or to ask how we share your information. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising within the meaning of California law beyond the cookie and pixel activity described in Section 5, which you may limit through your browser and ad settings.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 10. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

8. Children's privacy

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised. Continued use of the Site or our services after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
